The weather forecast for Joel and Sara’s Denmark wedding day was for non-stop rain, so waking up on the Saturday morning to blue skies was a lovely surprise. And as it turned out the five minutes of rain we had all day produced the most magnificent double-rainbow at just the right moment – thank you weather gods!
Sara and Joel and their families all got ready at William Bay Country Cottages before heading to The Lake House for the ceremony (with celebrant Leith Maddock) and the reception. Ceremony chairs and arch supplied by Albany Event Hire.
Sara’s hair and make-up were by Kate Samiotis Hair and Special Occasion Make-up by Tammy. Her dress was from Hobnob Bridal and shoes from The Bridal Room. Joel wore a Pal Zilleri suit from Parker & Co and shoes from Aquilla. Sara did the amazing styling with Leanne at the Lake House setting it all up beautifully and Lindy at Lush Floral Designs worked her magic with the bouquets and flower arrangements.
Both Sara and Joel said afterwards that the highlight of their day was the intimate, comfortable and easy-going ceremony with all the emotions that went with it. As Sara said “I had lots of emotions approaching the Lake House and was unsure as to how I was going to react, if my energy was going to produce excitement or a lot of tears. I was so excited that I did a happy dance when I was standing in front on everyone.” We all loved your happy dance Sara <3
